The name itself must have excited you. Beer bread is one of the simplest bread recipes that you can make without yeast. You need only six ingredients for it:

  • All-purpose flour or Gluten-free blended flour.
  • Baking Powder, this will substitute the yeast.
  • Salt
  • Butter
  • Honey
  • And finally, beer

If you are using self-rising flour, then there is no need to use salt and baking powder. Once you have all the ingredients, mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Then add beer and honey into it while stirring continuously. When they all are combined well, you can transfer the batter into a greased pan. Bake it for at least 40 mins and check with a toothpick. After it is cooked, let it sit for about 10 minutes before cutting into slices. And voila! Your bread is ready.

Tip: You can add some butter on the top to give it a delightful flavor.

All these bread recipes are great, but nothing can replace a classic vegan bread. Unlike other bread recipes, you can add multiple flours to it for a richer taste. For this, you need only a few ingredients:

  • White flour – 250 gms
  • Whole wheat flour – 400 gms
  • Plant milk – 500 ml (unsweetened)
  • Baking soda – 1 tsp
  • Vinegar – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – 1.5 tsp

Start by preheating the oven to 400ºF. Then add vinegar to the milk and set aside until the milk curdles. After that, mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, and add the curdled milk into it. Form a dough from the mixture, and do not over-knead it. The dough should be soft and shapable. Shape the dough and place it into a greased baking tray. Bake for about 35-40 minutes and your vegan bread is ready to be served.
