IGN Brings Up A Teen Yoda In The Mandalorian Season 2 Parody Trailer

The Mandalorian Season 2

The Mandalorian, as you all might already know, is a Star Wars web series. Star Wars is one of the oldest space-opera media franchise that almost everyone loves. The Star Wars: Mandalorian series is about a new warrior species that are known as the Mandalorians. The story of the series lies between 1983’s “The Fall Of The Empire” and 2015’s “The Force Awakens.” The first season of the series premiered in November 2019 while the second season is expected to be released in October 2020. And the rumors are there that season 3 is already in progress. But after the Skywalker Saga’s disappointing end, fans are eagerly waiting for The Mandalorian Season 2.

Season 1 introduced people with Baby Yoda, who is an infant member of the Yoda species. He has some strong powers, which were displayed in some of the episodes. The cute little baby was loved by all the fans. And as he was there in all the episodes of season 1, people are expecting to see him again in all the episodes of The Mandalorian Season 2. Here are some of the season 2 details that the fans might like to hear.

Story

The Mandalorian Season 2

In the last episode of season 1, Din Djarin was asked by the Mandalorian Armorer to reunite Baby Yoda with its kind. So the story of The Mandalorian season 2 is expected to be rolling around Baby Yoda’s homeworld search. This story would not have been possible if George Lucas were still in charge of Star Wars. As his rule stated, that the home planet and species of “Jedi Master Yoda” were to be kept secret. But as Disney took over Lucas Films in 2012, the rule is not valid anymore.

As no one knew anything about Baby Yoda’s home planet, this season will explore more about that. But as Maldo had battles with Jedi, so he might be looking for him too. This can be said as a classic Star War, as it always manages to leave some ambiguity in the theory.

Direction

The main writer and creator of season 1, Jon Favreau, did not direct any episodes of it as he was busy with Lion King at that time. The season did not suffer because of that, but as he has directed some great pieces like Iron Man, so people were expecting something good from him. Which they will find in The Mandalorian season 2, as he will be directing one of the series’ episodes. Some rumors are also there that the Ant-man director, Peyton Reed, will also be directing two episodes of season 2.

This brings us back to the season one director, Taiki Waititi, who will not be returning for season 2. As he mentioned in a live session on Instagram, that he is busy with other projects.

Cast

Rosario Dawson will be appearing in a guest-starring role of Ahsoka Tano. Though she did not confirm the news, she was definitely excited to be a part of the Star Wars family. One confirmed cast of season 2 is Micheal Biehn, who might be playing the bounty hunter’s role. No other cast details have been revealed yet. But the fans can expect to see various Skywalker Saga’s characters appearing throughout the series.

The Mandalorian Season 2 – Parody Trailer

The Mandalorian Season 2

A fan-made fake trailer of The Mandalorian Season 2, was released by IGN on 4/20. At the beginning of the trailer, actual season 1 scenes have been used, to make it look more legitimate. It is until Mando’s voice comes as he was complaining about Baby Yoda’s changed behavior and that he cannot deal with things now. As he further tells Baby Yoda to take charge of things, Baby Yoga is then introduced as a Teen Yoda who was shown smoking. Which might be the reason for IGN to release the trailer on 4/20, which is known as the “Weed Day.”

As the description of the trailer calls him an obnoxious and filthy teenager, Teen Yoda can be seen with munchies, to accompany the weed. Teen Yoda has also got a bad attitude and a tattoo to justify it. Viewers can also spot a small Groot statue on the side table of Yoda. This is quite funny as Teen Groot had a similar attitude in the second part of Guardians of the Galaxy. Maybe that is where the idea came from.

In the description of the video, IGN informs that they were motivated by season 1’s dialogue “Species age differently.” They gave a completely different direction to the character of Baby Yoda. It is good that they clarified that the trailer is nothing but a parody, otherwise the fans would have gone mad. Because no one expected something like this from their cute and small Baby Yoda.

With this video, IGN promoted a new sub-brand of comedy, animation, let’s plays, and live-action fan films that will soon be seen on the IGN network.

Conclusion

Though there were some less exciting episodes in the first season, still people loved the great imagery and simple storytelling of it. And they are already demanding for The Mandalorian Season 2, as there are a lot of things which will be revealed in this season. But due to the coronavirus pandemic, they might experience a little delay in the originally stated date of release. No official declaration has been made for the same.

But if season 2 will be releasing on the decided date, then it will fall right in between two of the Marvel shows, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” that is supposed to be going on-air in August 2020 and “Wandavision” that is supposed to be going on-air in December 2020. So people will be busy at the end of the year, with so many interesting shows.

For the fans who cannot wait until October, Disney is coming up with something new for them. On May 4, they have declared to release a documentary series about The Mandalorian series. It will be titled “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian.” In this, Katheleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, Favreau, and Bryce Dallas will be seen discussing the creation of The Mandalorian series on a round table. So the fans will be able to make something out of it. And will not go mad till the second season releases.
