The Breakfast Club Interview
With his album release on 26 June 2020, August Alsina went to an interview with the popular radio host Angela Yee. The Breakfast Show interview was supposed to be drafted around Alsina’s album. However, it got a different turn when he revealed his relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith and the whole Smith family.
It started when he mentioned that people lack love in this world. After that, Yee said that he was present in an episode of “What is Love,” and people were interested in knowing who he was linked to romantically. The reason for this interest was that Alsina was never too open about his love life. Then she asked him about his relationship with Pinkett Smith, following which, he expressed his feelings and views on that.
August Alsina With Jada Pinkett Smith:
According to August Alsina, he met Pinkett Smith when her son Jaden Smith introduced them in 2015. The singer mentioned that they were romantically involved, and even Will Smith gave his blessings to him for the same. He did include in his statement that this incident happened only after Will and Jada transformed into life partners from being married, and their relationship lacked romanticism.
He further said that he devoted himself to Pinkett Smith and that relationship for years, and there is nothing that he regrets about that. “I can die right now and be okay with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody right,” he added.
Throughout the discussion, Alsina did not say anything wrong about anyone. He praised Jada and the entire Smith family. He even said that they are like family to them, and he loves them more than anything.
Jada Pinkett Smith’s Statement
Following this controversial statement made by August Alsina, everyone wanted to hear from Jada Pinkett Smith, her view on this. People were extremely excited to see what Pinkett Smith say regarding her relationship with Alsina. A bit later, after the interview went viral, Pinkett Smith’s representatives came up and released her statement to the “Page Six.” The statement mentioned that the stories and claims made by Alsina were ‘absolutely not true.’ That means she clearly denied her relationship with him.
Conclusion
The confusion of August Alsina being romantically involved with Jada Pinkett Smith remains everyone’s minds.
